Team Leader - Knowledge and Engagement
Abhimanyu Shankhdhar is a seasoned communication for development professional currently serving as Team Leader – Knowledge & Engagement at ACE Partners, where he leads client project communication, stakeholder engagement, corporate communication and branding initiatives. His expertise spans climate resilience, clean energy, health, gender and sustainable development.
Abhimanyu has led comms, knowledge and engagement efforts for high-impact projects supported by multilateral and bilateral agencies. Notably, he has contributed to knowledge strategy, outreach and capacity-building for USAID’s South Asia Regional Energy Partnership (SAREP), supporting clean energy transitions across the region. In the multilateral space, he has worked with the UN World Food Programme and UNAIDS Asia-Pacific, where he led knowledge management and facilitated regional collaboration on food security, health and development goals.
As part of UK PACT (Partnering for Accelerated Climate Transitions), Abhimanyu has supported climate action and just energy transition efforts through campaign design, strategic knowledge frameworks and multi-stakeholder outreach across Asia. His broader work in the climate and energy sectors includes managing platforms that foster South-South learning, strengthening the interface between research, policy, and practice to enable sustainable impact and enabling data-based policy decisions.
Beyond climate and energy, Abhimanyu’s experience includes leading learning initiatives in public health, sexual and reproductive health, gender and urban planning & development. Known for his ability to translate technical insights into accessible, actionable knowledge, he has built communities of practice that drive inclusive development.
Abhimanyu holds advanced degrees in communication along with professional qualifications in public policy and human centred design. He is committed to using knowledge as a tool for transformation, particularly in advancing equitable, climate-resilient futures in the Global South.
